Free Ads on Craigslist and Tribe
Craigslist.org is the ranked 41st in the world by Alexa. It’s one of the best free ad sources if you use it properly. With its high ranking, it is seen by millions of people every month. Importantly, ads stay posted for 45 days and sometimes even wind up in Google search results.
Ad posting on Craigslist regularly can even help with your site indexing and bring more traffic to your website.
It’s a little tricky to post multiple ads regarding business opportunities to Craigslist, but you should have success if you follow these rules:
1. Opportunity type ads are only accepted under small business services
2. Never post in the wrong category.
3. Never post multiple times in the same category
4. Never post to multiple cites.
5. Only post one or two ads at a time, then wait a few days to post more.
6. Each ad should have a different title, different body and different link. The body doesn’t have to be totally different but should never be identical to another posting.
7. Use different email addresses for each ad.
Craigslist will block your IP address if you don’t follow these rules.
Tribe.com
Tribe is not quite so stringent in their requirements. However, you should always make sure your ads are posted to the right category or they will cancel your account and block your email address. If you are unsure of the category for your ad, browse the classified listing to find similar ads
You can post up to 8 or 10 ads, but if you post more they may cancel your account. You can post to multiple cities/states and your ads can be identical, but it would probably be best to follow rule 5 for Craigslist and only post one or two ads a day.
The nice thing about Tribe is that you can have a blog and participate in forums. Craigslist has forums also. Be sure to add your signature to all posting. Any off topic forum postings on either Craigslist or Tribe might be regarded as spam.
As a general rule, you should keep any forum posts on topic and read forum rules before posting. Many forums will not accept any reference to a particular business or company. Free memberships to Adlandpro and Direct Matches also allow you to post a member profile and blog.
