Loom Knitting Pattern for Mini Socks or Cuddly Toy


This knitting pattern is great fun and knits up a mini sock for a small child or a cuddly toy. For the intermediate loomer, this pattern shouldn't cause too many problems.

Pre-requisite:

  • Size: Finished length 2-inches
  • Materials:
  • Sock Yarn: 10 yards
  • Mini Sock Loom
  • Crochet hook
  • Large eye needle

Instructions: Worked with double stitch method.

Sock Top

Cast on, and knit 6 rows and bring up for a cuff. Knit 7 rows




Heel
Row 1: Knit from pin one to pin six
Row 2: Knit from pin six to pin one
Row 3: Knit from pin two to pin five
Row 4: Knit from pin five to pin two
Row 5: Knit from pin four to pin three
Row 7: Knit from pin five to pin two
Row 8: Knit from pin two to pin five
Row 9: Knit from pin six to pin one

Foot
Knit seven more rows all around the loom. Cut yarn, leaving a 2-inch tail.

Remove
Gathering method: Thread large eye needle with yarn, with the tip of the needle, remove loop off pin 1, then remove loop from stitch 2, continue all around the loom, until all loops are off the loom, pull on the yarn so as to close the item. Push the needle through the center of the sock and make a finishing knot.
