Baby Girl Poncho Knitting Pattern

Baby Girl Poncho Knitting Pattern

This simple and effective pattern produces a stunning poncho and pants combo for any baby girl. Although the colors can be varied to taste the colors recommended below knit up a cute garment for any baby girl. This is quite a complicated job, as many knitters aren't used to using elastic if you are then you will find it a breeze.

You will require wool (remember you choose the colors), and needles, and elastic. The size is suitable for those with eight and a half inch legs, and ten and a quarter inside leg stream. If your little one is not the correct size then there is no need to panic. If the baby is bigger then do more rows and if they are smaller then do less rows.

It should be started with one hundred and ninety three stitches through a needle. Then the P should start on the WS. The second row is PSSO, with a knit of one into a stitch of three, then followed by a KTOG. This is repeated on every third row, so people should keep this in mind should they choose to make their design bigger than it is supposed to be. Now centralize and hold, whilst ensuring it is secure, straight and appealing. Now do K2 tog, and carry P over one hundred and twelve stitches. Start the pants with the same technique as row three whilst remembering that the elastic has to be added. Now purl, knit for four rows and turn back. Then start again, and P, K14 then end.

To finish you need to push the parts separately on the WS. Then complete the join, and use the seam for the outer perimeter. To add the elasticized belt, just pull back and turn the catch down, then add separately then Knit around to secure the ribbon and complete the knitting pattern.

A cute combo, this pattern knits up in no time, and with a little care and effort, you could ensure your child will be cozy and warm with this pattern. Good luck with this girl poncho knitting pattern!
