Poncho Knitting Pattern
Child Poncho Knitting Pattern
This
child poncho knitting pattern is ideal for a beginner or an experienced
knitter as a quick and easy pattern for a stylish, comfortable garment.
Keep your child warm and cozy whilst at the cutting edge of fashion
with this practical but stylish poncho.
Before
starting the design you will require a yarn that is soft to keep you
little one cozy, as well as needles which go without saying, If you are
worried about colors; don't be. Opt for something that will keep the
child happy, and therefore ensure that they stay warm this winter!
The
scale is that four stitches or alternatively six rows are equal to one and a
half square inches. The size is geared towards a young girl, however
someone older could wear exactly the same design if the knitter decides
to add more rows to the design. Alternatively the same could happen
with someone smaller, all the knitter would have to do is remove rows.

To
start the design, go for the first row: K2, K3, k1, K2 over three
stitches and then twist before realigning. The second row is Ktog, MO,
K1 and then over one hundred and thirty four stitches. Now cast on the
remaining stitches then add twist in the end. Now centralize and work
last ten rows whilst watching the quality of your knitting remains
high. Remember that if you are losing concentration it is better to
stop and return at a later date. Now the stitch can be reapplied across
the pattern. The work should then be finished however the knitter /
designer wishes.
Knitting is not an exact science.
The beauty of this pattern is that you can use a range of various
stitches depending on what you feel comfortable with, making it the
ideal project for someone just setting out to knit for the first time.
If you are learning, be patient! It'll fall into place eventually, and
who knows - with a bit of practice, you could be knitting really nice
garments for your family and friends in no time! Good luck with your
child poncho knitting pattern!
