Poncho Knitting PatternThis vogue
poncho knitting pattern is based around an open mesh idea. As its made
from two rectangles, there's very little shaping involved, making it an
easy pattern that's great for new knitters. Although it is great for a
new knitter, more experienced knitters may find it fun to work on
something which is that little but easier from time to time.
With this design one size generally fits all, however if you want to
make it bigger just add rows, or alternatively if you want to make it
smaller then just subtract rows. This is an easy concept to grasp. The
size will work out at thirty eight inches by thirty one inches which
should be ideal for the average lady. This design can be made to fit
the needs of its wearer through it being personalized. The best way to
do this is choose your yarn, to mean that your new poncho will go well
with those new jeans. This design is most popular in black.
The gauge is that three stitches, or two and three quarter rows equals
one square inch. To complete this project you will need wool needles
and a hook.
The first row is K1, WS, PSSO, VO, YO, K1 and the repeat for forty
stitches. The second row replicates from WS and starts with YO. Every
row is duplicated based on whether it is odd or even, so row two for
example is repeated across four, six and eight,.
The tricky part comes at the end when everything should be centralized
then all stitches should lean towards the P.

When completing this task the job should be completed so that the WS
and RS should leave the RS facing outwards. The perimeter should also
be sharpened, whilst a knitter may choose to accessorize at this stage,
adding an attractive piece of artwork to their masterpiece. This
remains the choice of the knitter, and many do it differently
This 'in vogue' poncho knitting pattern is ideal for beginners thanks
to its relatively simplistic design, whilst still being suitable as a
high fashion item.
